Located in front of the north coast of the province of Villa Clara, in the central part of the country, Cayo Las Brujas, it is part, together with Cayo Santa María and Cayo Ensenachos, of the group of keys called Cayos de la Herradura. Cayo Las Brujas is the smallest and is composed of a small group of islands that have an exuberant beauty.

Cayo Las Brujas is mainly based on tourism, considered, in the modality of sun and beach, the second most important in Cuba after Varadero. It currently has, in addition to a marina, Marina Gaviota Las Brujas, a medium-sized airport, Cayo Las Brujas Airport and a tourist plaza called "La Flor de Sal".

Of extraordinary transparency, charming beauty and reserved character, four are the beaches that Cayo Las Brujas has, the largest of which, - La Salina, reaches a length of just over 2 km and the smallest, just a few dozen meters. From east to west, these are: Las Brujas, La Salina, Caracol (also called Manteca) and Punta San Agustín.

And for those who are not experts in the area, in this key it is possible to access a diving center with certified instructors that will accompany you in the classes and in the visit to the coral formation.

In Cayo Las Brujas you will be able to marvel at the variety of natural landscapes it exhibits, with thick mangroves that are an important natural habitat for the local fauna, and that contrast perfectly with its beaches with crystal clear waters.

Cayo Las Brujas is an ideal destination for rest and relaxation, but you can also find options for the most hectic enjoyment at night. Cayo Las Brujas owes its name to the mythical presence on its grounds of the mysterious medieval characters it evokes, perpetuated today around the hotel Villa Las Brujas in captivating sculptures of women that seduce the visitor.

Cayo Las Brujas is fundamentally based on tourism, forming part, along with its neighbors Santa María and Ensenachos, of the Cayos de Villa Clara tourist pole, considered, in the modality of sun and beach, the second most important in Cuba after Varadero. Currently it has, in addition to a marina (Marina Gaviota Las Brujas), a medium-sized airport (Cayo Las Brujas Airport) and a tourist plaza called "La Flor de Sal". As a curiosity, some of the hotels on the island are named after their neighbor Cayo Santa María and not their own for commercial reasons.

Another peculiarity of the area is the San Pascual oil tanker, which has been stranded near Cayo Frances for almost 70 years and has become a naval originality, since it was made of reinforced concrete in San Francisco in 1920.
