Cayo Largo del Sur is located in the Caribbean Sea, at the eastern end of the Los Canarreos Archipelago, on the Isla de la Juventud.

This region traveled to 1494 by Admiral Christopher Columbus on his second trip to Cuba, is still frequented by lovers of natural life. Numerous species of flora and fauna, beautiful beaches among which Sirena shines, considered the most beautiful in the region for its calm waters and a location that protects it from winds and waves. Others like Lindamar, the most intimate and welcoming; Playa Blanca, full of cliffs that surround the sea and Playa Luna and Playa Coco, unique for their trees that are integrated into the environment, ensure a perfect quiet environment.

The waters and bottoms of Cayo Largo have magnificent diving areas with variable depths and that reach in some places to be significant. Water sports are concentrated in Sirena Beach, where you can practice windsurfing, snorkeling, water bikes (pedal), kayaking and catamaran rides. Other beaches are good for snorkeling, such as Paraíso and Los Cocos, but you have to bring the equipment because it is not available in them.

You can swim with dolphins in an area prepared for this purpose in the northern part of Playa Sirena and visit the Turtle Farm a Turtle Hatchery where the eggs collected in the nests are incubated on the most vulnerable beaches, once the hatchlings are born they release their natural environment, increasing the survival rate with these conservation actions.

The Marina Cayo Largo, located in the town, offers diving and sport fishing trips that can be booked at your hotel or in the marina itself.
