The seabeds of the Territory are ideal for diving, with coralline formations of low and medium depth in the cove of barriers and Playitas, while a further advance towards the bottom highlights an abrupt relief accompanied by abundant sponges, Gorgonians and corals. The area offers services to the diving centers Faro Luna, Guajimico and Whale Shark, with introductory courses, day and night dives in sunken boats and reefs, as well as catamaran rides, water bikes and kayaks.

A twenty minutes drive from the city of Cienfuegos is the Guanaroca Lagoon Fauna Refuge – Sparrowhawk, ideal site for birdwatching and nearby is also the botanical garden, the oldest in Cuba, located in areas surrounding the town of Pepito Tey.
Another of its natural wonders are the landscapes of the mountainous massif of Guamuhaya, especially the Natural park the niche, which takes its name from one of the waterfalls of the park, surrounded by lush and beautiful tropical vegetation.

The city of Cienfuegos was founded in 1819 with the name of Fernandina de Jagua by French colonists from Bordeaux and is popularly known as the Pearl of the South.

And in the Punta Gorda area: The Blue Palace, the Cienfuegos Club, the sculpture Park, the Valle Palace, the La Punta Recreation Center. A little farther away you will find the monumental necropolis Tomás Acea, which is also interesting to visit.
Another recommendation to discover Cienfuegos is to travel its malecon to the Bay of Jagua.
